McKinney Tree Experts handles tree trimming, tree removal, stump grinding and storm cleanup across the city of McKinney, Texas. If your home is in McKinney, we work there.
McKinney neighborhoods we serve
Every part of McKinney has its own tree story:
- Historic Downtown and the streets around the Square. Big, old oaks and pecans, plus the trees that utility crews trim hard along power lines. Mature trees here need careful pruning and a real look before anyone calls for removal.
- Stonebridge Ranch. HOA rules require at least one large canopy tree in every front yard, and removing a required tree takes Modifications Committee approval first. We'll remind you to check before we cut.
- Craig Ranch. Home to the Crape Myrtle Trails World Collection park. Newer trees that need good structural pruning early on.
- Eldorado Parkway and Lake Forest Drive. Crape myrtle-lined streets and newer neighborhoods with young trees growing into roofs and fences.
- Older neighborhoods off College Street. Mature trees, older root systems and big limbs worth checking before storm season.
What we do in every neighborhood
Tree problems we see around town
Different parts of the city have different tree headaches. Here's what to watch for where you live.
Older streets near downtown. The trees are big and the yards are tight. Limbs grow out over roofs, garages and power lines, and a lot of these trees were trimmed hard on one side by line crews. A lopsided tree carries its weight badly in a storm. If a crew cut back one side of yours, have someone look at balancing it.
Master-planned neighborhoods. Stonebridge Ranch, Craig Ranch and the newer subdivisions mostly have younger trees, planted when the homes were built. Young trees are cheap to shape and expensive to fix later. A light structural trim while a tree is young saves a lot of trouble.
Crape myrtle streets. Along Eldorado Parkway and in many front yards, crape myrtles get topped every winter out of habit. They don't need it. See our crape myrtle guide.
Big lots on the edges of town. More trees, more dead wood and more storm cleanup. These yards often need several trees handled in one visit, which is the cheapest way to do it.
